AirAsia to connect Ahmedabad in India to Bangkok with a new nonstop flight

Sepang (TAN): Malaysia-based airline AirAsia will fly nonstop four times a week between the Indian city of Ahmedabad and Bangkok in Thailand starting May 31, 2019.

“India is a strategic market for AirAsia and our focus is on further growing our international connectivity to the country,” AirAsia Thailand’s Chief Executive Officer Santisuk Klongchaiya was quoted by media reports as saying.

“This new route will expand the travel opportunities for the people of western India, and we are confident that our unique combination of low fares and award-winning service will stimulate traffic on this underserved route and fuel tourism and economic growth,” he added.

Ahmedabad in Gujarat will be the carrier’s ninth destination in India.

To celebrate the launch of the new flight, AirAsia is offering all-in promotional fares starting from INR 4,999 for one direction.

Passengers flying to destinations such as Phuket, Krabi, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, and Brisbane could also find this route useful.
