San Francisco (TAN): An Alaska Airlines flight had to be diverted to Chicago in the United States after a passenger attempted to light a cigarette in the cabin, reports said.

The incident recently occurred on Alaska Airlines Flight 1138 which was flying to Philadelphia from San Francisco. The flight had to be diverted to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

The airline was quoted by media reports as saying that the flight was diverted ‘due to a disruptive passenger on board and out of an abundance of caution’.
