Spirit Airlines starts flying nonstop to 8 US destinations from Texas capital Austin, 2 more nonstop flights to follow

Miramar (TAN): United States-based carrier Spirit Airlines has launched new daily nonstop services to ten major metropolitan areas across the country from Austin, the capital of Texas state.

The airline has started operating from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to eight destinations including Baltimore/Washington BWI Airport in Maryland, Chicago in Illinois, Denver in Colorado, Detroit in Michigan, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando in Florida, Las Vegas in Nevada, and New Orleans in Louisiana.

Beginning May 2 this year, Spirit Airlines will fly nonstop daily between California’s Los Angeles and Austin, and commence operations on the Atlanta-Austin route on May 23.

“Texas’ capital city is booming, and Spirit Airlines is thrilled to announce Atlanta as our tenth non-stop destination from the live music capital of the world.  We are confident our new Guests in Central Texas will recognize that Spirit provides the best value in the sky with low fares, an on-time operation, and signature service,” John Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning at Spirit Airlines said.

Executive Director of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Jim Smith said: “Central Texas travelers will benefit from Spirit Airlines’ distinctive service. This expands our travel options and we welcome Spirit to the airport.”
