Budapest (TAN): At least seven South Korean tourists have died after a tour boat collided with a larger vessel during torrential rain and immediately sank in the river Danube late on Wednesday.
Media reports said search is on to locate 21 more persons, who are missing. The tour boat was operated by South Korea-based Very Good Tour Agency.
South Korean President Moon Jae-In issued an emergency instruction to mobilize every possible means to support rescue efforts in cooperation with the Hungarian government.

According to media reports, National Ambulance Service spokesperson Pal Gyorfi said those rescued had been hospitalized in stable condition but added that there was “minimal hope” for the missing people. None of the tourists apparently had life jackets on.
The accident took place close to the Margit Bridge over the Danube, near to the Parliament building by the river.
