Air France renewed its partnership agreement with Aircalin for the next five years
  • Air France has renewed its partnership agreement with Aircalin for the next five years.
  • The two airlines have been developing their cooperation to provide a sustainable response to passengers travelling between New Caledonia, metropolitan France and Europe since 2000, carrying around 60,000 flyers each year.
  • Both carriers are members of the Flying Blue frequent flyer programme, and cooperate in the field of air cargo transport and maintenance.

  • Air France will offset 100% of carbon dioxide emissions on all its domestic flights as of January 1, 2020. It will also cut down fuel consumption per person per kilometer to less than 3 litres by 2030.

THE BEST SOLUTION FOR LINKING PARIS-CHARLES DE GAULLE TO NOUMÉA-LA TONTOUTA

On 24 October 2019, Air France and Aircalin renewed their partnership agreement for the next five years. The two airlines are thus asserting their commitment to offering a long-term solution for serving New Caledonia from Paris. Served daily with additional frequencies operated during peak travel periods from Nouméa, and thanks to optimized connections at Tokyo-Narita (Japan) and Osaka-Kansai (Japan) and code-shared flights, the two airlines offer the most rapid travel solution for connecting Nouméa-La Tontouta to Paris-Charles de Gaulle and the rest of Europe with Air France’s extensive network.

60,000 PASSENGERS CARRIED EACH YEAR

Since 2000, Air France and Aircalin have been developing their cooperation in an aim to offer a sustainable response to customers travelling between New Caledonia, metropolitan France and Europe. The two airlines are thus committed to providing customers with constantly improved products and service quality. For close to 20 years, some 60,000 passengers have been carried each year thanks to this partnership.

The arrival in the Aircalin fleet of two new latest-generation Airbus A330neos equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi reinforces the partners’ commercial proposal on their jointly-operated routes. Aircalin’s new Business Hibiscus travel class meets the highest industry standards. The new Premium Economy class now offers customers the possibility to travel in a dedicated cabin from Paris to Nouméa. The Economy class, whose cabin décor is inspired by the New Caledonia lagoon, is equipped with 244 seats offering even greater comfort and an upgraded in-flight entertainment system.

MULTIPLE AREAS FOR COOPERATION AND PROMOTING NEW CALEDONIA AS A DESTINATION

Air France and Aircalin are both members of the Flying Blue frequent flyer programme. They also cooperate in the field of air cargo transport and maintenance.

Air France and Aircalin have also demonstrated their commitment to developing New Caledonia as a destination at the IFTM-international tourism industry trade fair by signing a three-party agreement with New Caledonia Tourism on 1st October 2019. Over the next twelve months, the signatories will join forces in promoting New Caledonia as a destination among their individual customers, travel agent networks and tour operators.
