(TAN): A tourism package launched by Sunway as the Malaysian government reopened travel and allowed interstate travel in the country has recorded sales of more than 10,000 room night stays within 72 hours of launch, the group said in a statement.
Sunway Group launched the “Ke Sana Ke Sini Ke Sunway” campaign on July 6. The campaign will end on July 20.

The package is currently being offered at a 70% discounted price of MYR 499 (USD 117) from the normal price of MYR 1,599 for a two-night stay at Sunway Pyramid Hotel for two adults and two children, entrance tickets to Sunway Lagoon for two adults and two children, and welcome treats and Family Fun Activity vouchers worth MYR 200 from Sunway Pyramid.
Sunway Malls and Theme Parks CEO H.C. Chan said Sunway expects a healthy growth in momentum of domestic tourism.
“Domestic tourism is a sizable market…. Since the campaign’s launch, Sunway Pyramid Hotel has registered a booking occupancy of 80%,” Chan said.

Chan attributes the success of the campaign to the confidence of the travellers in Sunway Group’s stringent health and safety protocols.
Sunway City Kuala Lumpur is touted as Malaysia’s model smart sustainable city with a range of entertainment, leisure and lifestyle attractions. The 800-acre city has the Sunway Lagoon theme park, the Sunway Pyramid mall and a collection of Sunway hotels with some 1,500 rooms.
