The hotel tells the stories of Columbus with nods to its rich past threaded throughout the design and guest experience. Subtle décor touches pay homage to Fort Benning, with green woven handles on the nightstands and the numbers “243’” on the dresser to mark how far Columbus is above sea level. Old pine wood at the elevator entrance was reclaimed from one of W.C. Bradley’s mills, and artwork throughout the hotel honours Columbus’ diverse history as an artists’ haven, nature preserve, military outpost and technology hub.

The property houses two dining options: Eighteen85 Rooftop Bar & Kitchen and Denim & Oak Riverfront Restaurant. Eighteen85, a tribute to the year W.C. Bradley Company was founded, features a design inspired by blues legend and Columbus native Ma Rainey and is the only area rooftop bar and restaurant overlooking the Chattahoochee River. Denim & Oak, named after the textile industry that once flourished in the area and the forests that surround it, will offer farm-to-table dining in a charming setting directly on the river bank.

Carol Hoeller, global head of Hotel Indigo, said: “This hotel demonstrates the best of Columbus – both its classic charm and its modern appeal. The design celebrates the area’s rich history of art, technology and nature, all with the contemporary elegance our brand is known for.”

Additionally, the hotel will offer room service, an outdoor heated pool, 24-hour fitness center, and valet parking. Hotel Indigo Columbus at Riverfront Place also contains two separate event facilities, with floor-to-ceiling windows, which are equipped to handle private or corporate events accommodating more than 100 attendees.
