(TAN): In a move to enhance customer experience and reduce travel hassles, Air France has partnered with the innovative start-up, Alltheway, to introduce a novel baggage drop-off service in Paris and the Paris region. This option allows passengers to shed the burden of carrying their bags and check them in at conveniently located spots before arriving at the airport.

Currently available at eight partner locations, including five ACCOR hotels in the city center, major exhibition sites, and more to come, this service enables travellers to leave their baggage at designated drop-off points, which will then be directly delivered to the airline’s check-in desk at the airport. At each stage of the process, rigorous security checks are conducted to ensure the safety of customers’ belongings.

For added convenience, customers can track their baggage’s journey to the airport and onward to their final destination using the “follow my bag” tool within the Air France application. This feature allows travellers to stay informed about their baggage’s whereabouts at all times, offering a sense of reassurance throughout their journey.

The service is available from 30 hours up to 4 hours prior to the flight’s departure, depending on the chosen drop-off location. The cost for this time-saving and hassle-free service is EUR 25 (USD 27.50) for one bag, with an additional EUR 10 per extra bag. Currently applicable for all flights operated by Air France from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the airline is also looking to extend this offering to flights departing from Paris-Orly in the future.

Alltheway, the start-up responsible for this solution, was founded in 2022 by travel industry experts Emilie Gazeau, Julien de Colfmacker, and Anouar Zbaida. Headquartered in France, Alltheway employs cutting-edge technology and operational procedures developed in collaboration with leading airlines.
