The newly opened Maple Leaf Lounge showcases a range of premium amenities and culinary offerings, designed to elevate the travel experience for passengers heading to Canada and beyond. The highlight of the lounge is its expansive outdoor terrace, providing great views of aircraft and the runway. Covering 8,168 square feet (761 square meters) and accommodating 165 seats, the lounge exemplifies Air Canada’s commitment to delivering exceptional service to customers travelling from California to Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia via its major hubs in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.
The Maple Leaf Lounge at SFO features design elements, decor, and a carefully curated selection of food and beverages that showcase local makers and flavours. Passengers can savour unique seafood offerings, including the renowned San Francisco fish stew cioppino, accompanied by a variety of California wines and craft beers from Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and Anchor Brewing.
“We wanted to create a space that captures the essence of California while providing a tranquil retreat for our guests,” said Harkness. “The lounge’s design, amenities, and art collection celebrate the cultural connections between California and Canada, further enhancing the overall experience.”
In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the Maple Leaf Lounge offers an array of premium services. Passengers can indulge in a self-serve buffet featuring both hot and cold dishes, enjoy a variety of wines and craft beers served by a bartender, and choose from a curated cocktail menu and espresso offerings. The lounge also provides e-gates and biometric identification for seamless entry, showers with heated towel racks, a VIP room for up to 10 people, and a collection of multidisciplinary artwork that reflects and pays homage to both California and Canada.
The new San Francisco Maple Leaf Lounge joins Air Canada’s growing network of lounges. The airline’s lounges, including the newly opened San Francisco Maple Leaf Lounge and the United ClubSM in Newark Terminal A, are accessible to various eligible customers, including Aeroplan 50K, 75K, and Aeroplan Super Elite Status members, Star Alliance Gold members, Aeroplan premium co-brand cardholders, and customers travelling on business class tickets with Air Canada or other Star Alliance members.
