Yellowstone National Park has advised visitors to keep a distance of at least 25 metres from bisons.

(TAN): Yellowstone National Park has specifically advised visitors to keep their distance from bisons at this point because of the ongoing bison mating season.

The animals are especially aggressive right now during the bison mating season, the park said in a Facebook post.

Bison mating season is still going on in the park. Male bison are particularly aggressive right now, though all bison and other wildlife can be dangerous.
