Vancouver (TAN): Vancouver, the capital of Canada’s British Columbia province, is a very dog-friendly city and have every facility to ensure you don’t have to leave your furry companion with a dog-sitter when you go exploring the place.
Many parks, shops, restaurants and even some breweries allow dogs in this awesome city.

Pets are allowed on public transport
Both Aquabus and False Creek Ferries to and from Granville Island allow dogs on leash on board as long as they are clean. While assistance animals are always allowed in the city’s public transport, you can take other pets along as well in hand-held cages that can fit on your lap.
Dog-friendly hotels
Vancouver has a number of pet-friendly hotels. It may cost you a few dollars more, but your dog is very welcome at properties such as Coast Coal Harbour Hotel, Opus Hotel and Hotel Vancouver, among others. Dog beds, food and water bowls are provided.

Dog-friendly parks and beaches
All Vancouver parks welcome dogs. When you go for walk through the beautiful Stanley Park or Pacific Spirit Regional Park, you can take your dog along. You can also let you dog off the leash and designated areas in the parks or at the beaches. Just be sure to clean up and dispose of your dog’s waste. More information here.
