Dubai (TAN): Emirates will celebrate Eid Al Adha with special offerings for passengers between August 11 and 14. Eid Al Adha, a holy celebration in the Islamic calendar, means ‘festival of the sacrifice’ which is generally observed with family and friends.

The airline’s Eid menu served at its A380 lounge will consist of Arabic coffee, a date cake, and a selection of Emirati pastries. A platter inspired by Arabic cuisine will be offered to everyone across all classes. Passengers in Economy Class would be served chicken or lamb machbous depending on the route, along with a date cake.
Fliers in First or Business class will be able to choose from chicken or lamb ouzi, a rice dish with slow-cooked meat, roasted nuts and raisins, and those travelling on select routes in Africa and Europe will be served an Emirati-style king fish with rice.
While premium customers will also be able to choose from Arabic desserts such as chocolate fondant with labneh ice cream, date and almond nammoura made from semolina, or khabees served with Arabic coffee sauce and pistachio cream, all such passengers on all routes will receive chocolates made by United Arab Emirates-based gourmet chocolatiers, Forrey & Galland.

Emirates will celebrate the Hindu festival Onam on its flights to and from Kerala, India between September 1 and 13, and Mid-Autumn Festival usually celebrated by Chinese and Vietnamese communities on select Asian flights next month.
