Abu Dhabi (TAN): Aviation major Etihad Airways will deploy the Airbus A380 on its daily service between Abu Dhabi and South Korea’s capital Seoul, starting July 1, 2019.
Seoul is the fifth destination to be served by the airline’s award-winning aircraft, after London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle, New York JFK and Sydney Airport.

Increasing traffic
It is estimated over 200,000 Koreans travel to the United Arab Emirates every year. The double-decker aircraft has been introduced in response to the increasing demand for seats on this route.
Etihad’s strong ties with South Korea
The carrier has been operating to Seoul Incheon since December 2010, carrying more than 1.2 million passengers over these years.
Etihad Aviation Group’s Chief Commercial Officer Robin Kamark said: “This reinforces the strong ties between our two countries, and the importance Etihad continues to place on the Korean market.”
“The introduction of our award-winning Airbus A380 will provide our guests with the most revolutionary inflight experience. The Etihad A380 embodies our ‘Choose Well’ brand promise perfectly, offering every type of traveller a flying experience tailored to meet their requirements, and to capture their imagination,” he added.

The double-decker aircraft will include the luxurious The Residence constituting a three-room cabin, nine private First Apartments, 70 Business Studios, and 405 Economy Smart Seats.
According to the schedule, flights from Abu Dhabi will depart 2205 hours and land in Seoul at 1135 hours the next day. Return flights will leave Seoul at 0100 hours and reach Abu Dhabi at 0545 hours, local time. The first A380 from Seoul will depart July 3, 2019.
