(TAN): Four Seasons Hotel Austin is taking “dinner and a show” one step further as dinner is the show with a new activation set to launch this February. This winter, the hotel announced the Texas debut of the state-of-the-art animated dining experience by award-winning TableMation Studios, a news release said.
Guests can expect a first-of-its-kind evening as the animation (beamed from overhead 4k laser projectors) intertwines with each dish of the four-course meal. As the lights go out, the guest’s table will come to life right before their eyes while animated ingredients and characters interact across their plates. Each course, curated by Ciclo Restaurant, has been cleverly crafted to coincide with the programme’s storyline to create a fully immersive experience.
Nya & Ned Save The World, by TableMation Studios, is an animated adventure that took a team of artists more than 50,000 hours to create. The show begins as Chef Nya and Ned prepare for a cooking class with their guests when the villainous Dr. Animator attempts to ruin the evening and threatens the glorious world… of dining! Chef Nya and Ned must save the world of flying forks, knives, fire-breathing dragons, and even a pasta monster. Guests will be transported across the globe without ever leaving the table as Chef Nya and Ned try to stop their dangerous foe in a memorable exhibition fit for the whole family.
The show will be offered at select showtimes throughout the week beginning February 2, 2023. The event takes place at a communal table in a custom-outfitted private dining room. The animated dining experience starts at USD 198, including a premiere spot at the interactive dining table, a four-course meal with delicacies ranging from tuna tartare to steak ravioli, and a complimentary welcome cocktail. In addition, story-worthy wine pairings are available for those looking to sip along with the show.
