(TAN): Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler, Canada, is offering the “Mountain-Top Afternoon Tea,” as part of which it whisks guests away on a helicopter to the beautiful peaks of the Pacific Coast range.
The experience, created with No Limits Helicopters, starts off with a 45-minute helicopter tour over forested and snow-covered mountains. Guests will fly over majestic Cheakamus and Garibaldi Lakes before flying past mighty Black Tusk, a remnant of a volcano that formed some 1.3 million years ago within the northernmost reaches of the Canadian Volcanic Arc.

The helicopter will then take guests to the ancient Tantalus Glacier for a 30-minute stop, where the champagne is popped before the afternoon tea catered by the resort’s culinary team.
On the menu are curated and prepared savoury and sweet bites, complete with classic and blueberry-orange scones with clotted cream, lemon curd, and a selection of artisanal marmalades.
Salmon vol au vent is a flaky pastry with silken smoked-salmon, preserved lemon, crispy fennel, and fresh dill; brioche pillow is a decadent 24-hour slow-cooked short rib with wild mushroom duxelle resting atop soft house-made brioche bread. A crispy cheese basket comes with baked phyllo pastry, light blue cheese labneh, caramelized pecan, fresh berries, and balsamic reduction. Foie gras gougeres are a delightful indulgence with foie gras mousse, candied orange peel, honey apple compote, and grand marnier.
