(TAN): Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe tapped its team of experts across spa, wellness, food and beverage to craft an ongoing series of new, “at-home” experiences – sharing their tips, how-to advice, revealing their secrets and personal favourites – to keep guests entertained and inspired, and encourage them to get creative and try something new from the comfort of their own home.
From sharing a “Taste of Terra” with chef-led virtual cooking lessons to chef’s favourite, easy-to-make recipes and mixology demos from Terra Bar’s certified Tequila Master, wellness tips from the Resort’s spa specialist and how to enjoy an at-home spa treatment, and more – the ongoing series will feature new ideas and experiences each week on the Resort’s social media channels.
Guests can hone mixology skills and learn a few tricks from the pro – expert bartender and certified tequila master Alfredo Sanchez. Sanchez shares his favourite recipes for Terra Bar’s new signature cocktails, along with step-by-step guides for how to create one’s own craft cocktail at home. For example, Sanchez switches whiskey for tequila to show cocktail enthusiasts how to make his Egan’s Old Fashioned – a classic favourite with an inventive twist.
Executive Chef Kai Autenrieth, from the Resort’s award-winning restaurant Terra, reveals his secret recipe for one of Terra’s most popular comfort food dishes – Green Chile Mac & Cheese.
He also gives a virtual cooking lesson with his son, from his own kitchen, showcasing a recipe to easily make with kids at home: Marley’s Quinoa Bacon Cakes.
Spa Manager Ryan Shulman has created an at-home version of his favourite, regionally-inspired treatment offered at The Spa – the Blue Corn & Honey Renewal.
Shulman recommends this natural body scrub as a great way to nourish and renew the skin – corn gently exfoliates while honey hydrates. Blue corn and honey is a local remedy, used for generations in New Mexico, as both ingredients are well known for their healing properties and treating parched skin.
