Accra (TAN): A selfie on the Adomi bridge over the Volta river will now cost you.
According to reports, the picturesque steel arch bridge is located at Atimpoku in the Eastern Region of Ghana has now been classified as a tourist site. Consequently, visitors taking photos on the bridge will be charged.
The Asuogyaman District Assembly and Ghana Highway Authority, which manages the Adomi bridge, took the decision, said Myjoyonline. The Ghana Tourism Development Company has backed the move.

The report quoted Ghana Tourism Development Company CEO Kwadwo Antwi as saying that the bridge will charge visitor just like sites like the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The revenue generated will be used for the bridge’s maintenance.
