Some reports claimed that the flight made an emergency landing in Karachi after a 30-year-old man from Bareilly died on board the plane due to cardiac arrest. However India Today reported that after landing, the airport doctors declared the passenger dead. The details of the passenger are not known yet. The flight later took off for Delhi.

The two nuclear-armed neighbours India and Pakistan share a troubled relationship with tensions flaring intermittently over border issues and other problems.
