(TAN): InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed an agreement with Sukhumvit Centre Point to take on management of Grand Sukhumvit Bangkok hotel in 2021. The 386-room hotel will be rebranded as Crowne Plaza Bangkok Grand Sukhumvit by end of 2021 following extensive refurbishment.
Additional rooms will be added by 2023 which will make it the country’s largest Crowne Plaza hotel and the flagship for the brand.
Situated 30 kilometres from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, the hotel is conveniently located near the Nana BTS Station, offering easy access to embassies and corporate offices, as well as nearby shopping, dining, and entertainment amenities.
The centrepiece of the hotel is the ‘Plaza Workspace’ – a new take on the traditional hotel lobby – in which visitors can catch up on some work as they do enjoying a coffee over a meeting or socialising with friends.
