(TAN): An India-Maldives travel bubble will start next week, The Times of India reported.
India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar made the announcement on the India-Maldives travel bubble during a virtual meeting with his Maldivian counterpart.
Maldives opened its borders for tourists on July 15 and there are no quarantine restrictions.

Tourists are reportedly being taken directly to their resorts from the airport, without them having to enter Male.
“The air travel bubble will also help regularise the flow of Maldivians seeking medical treatment to India,” Indian High Commissioner to Maldives, Sanjay Sudhit, told The Economic Times.
