Mumbai (TAN): India-based Jet Airways has revised its domestic flight change and cancellation fees.
As part of the airline’s new policy, which it calls Guest First, charges for changes in flight, date, sector, booking class, cabin and ticket cancellation at least seven days prior to the travel date will attract lower penalties than those within seven days, Jet Airways said in a statement.
“The new industry first, guest-friendly penalty framework is another innovative initiative from the airline. The tiered policy is a carefully crafted endeavour that allows our guests the opportunity to amend their domestic travel ahead of time offering additional value, choice and convenience,” said Raj Sivakumar, senior vice-president, worldwide sales and distribution, Jet Airways.
Award flights, however, will be exempt from the revision of cancellation and change fees.
Jet Airways now flies to 66 destinations in India and overseas.
