(TAN): Luxury hotel group Kempinski Hotels has announced to add two new hotels in Switzerland to their portfolio.
The first five-star luxury hotel in Engelberg, Kempinski Palace Engelberg – Titlis Swiss Alps, which is nearing completion will welcome guests in the heart of Engelberg from spring 2021; and the two hotels on Frutt in Melchsee-Frutt, which will benefit from the international management know-how and worldwide distribution network of Kempinski Hotels and be managed from the coming winter season by Kempinski.
“The elegant Palace Hotel with its long history more than lives up to our brand promise of the highest product and service quality. With this jewel, which continues the history of the Swiss Grand Hotels, we are continuing the selective expansion of our company as part of our long-term strategy,” said Martin R. Smura, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board of Kempinski Hotels at the signing of the management contract with the owners.

Kempinski Palace Engelberg features 129 elegant rooms and suites, a range of gastronomy and a spa and wellness area with an infinity pool of 880 square metre on the top floor of the luxury hotel with a panoramic view over Engelberg. Historical features of the former building dating from 1904 were preserved in close cooperation with the monument conservation authorities.
The hotels on Frutt in the small holiday area of Melchsee-Frutt are located in the middle of Central Switzerland, close to Lucerne. While the main building scores with a unique spa landscape on 900 sq m and offers 63 rooms, one junior suite and three suites in an authentic lodge ambience, the more family-oriented hotel building impresses with alpine cosiness and features 33 rooms, four junior suites and ten suites.
