    1. It is a big business for certain authorities obtain bonuses….
None country in the world has such barbaric law.
      Are we to remain silent?
There were number of people in quarantine hotels who were intoxicated and of food poisoning
      taken to hospital –
Our house is a safe place but would not bring bonus to the authorities
The authority making commercial income of coronavirus pandemic
Such will continue for months 2021…..

  3. My dad has just been diagnosed with severe cancer and can’t operate. I want to spend some time with my dad and support my mum but seeing the quarantine charge and my sister just lost her job in France and we can only afford flight tickets not exaggerate charge for quarantine which is RS 50 000. My sister and I want to see my dad but thinking about spending Rs100 000 is stupid. Does the government has feelings and sense of other people problem and their situation.

  4. The Hotel stay is very costly. Its out of pocket. My family willing to travel from india but i cant afford 14 days hotel / resort quarantine with PCR test 3 times in mauritius. Govt. should re look into this and home qurantine should allow.

  6. I dont know why the hell mauritians are paying to be in their own country
    Its a nonsense
Why dont government do like other country « Quarantaine in their own house »
Why should pay up for hotels and so on
I would like to know why for pensionners also must pay

  8. I am a Mauritian blocked in Canada as from March up to now (October) and I have no way of contacting any Mauritian authorities , for any information and help. I need to follow my treatment, as I am a senior citizen ,without medication.

  9. quarantine hotels in Australia have to be paid for also. A lot of Australians are, like Mauritians stranded overseas and need to get home. Some Australians have had to pay AU$6,000 for Hotel quarantine. That’s
Mu Rupees 150,000 ! I am sorry it is a difficult time for everyone. Covid-19 is a terrible pandemic.
