(TAN): Mount Everest will soon be accessible for mountaineers again with Nepal having lifted its national lockdown after around five months, reports said.
The Himalayan country plans to allow international flights to operate to and from the country from Aug. 17.
Tourism is a major revenue generator for Nepal and pandemic-induced lockdowns have cost the country millions of dollars. The country charges high fees to issue permits for mountaineers to climb Mount Everest and other peaks.
