(TAN): The iconic PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering, located in the heart of Singapore’s vibrant Chinatown, has been voted Asia’s Leading Green Hotel for the sixth consecutive year at the World Travel Awards 2020, while also picking up a nomination for World’s Leading Green City Hotel.
Celebrating its 27th anniversary this year, the World Travel Awards has long been recognised as the hallmark of quality in the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Voted by travel and tourism professionals around the globe, winners are seen as the industry standard in their respective fields to which others aspire.
The accolades come on the back of the hotel’s recent recognition at the annual Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP) Sustainable Hotel Awards 2020, winning the Sustainable Design category for its innovative approach to sustainable development. The hotel has been applauded for showing that modern hotel architecture and nature can co-exist, and for being exemplary of what new urban developments should look like, in alignment with Singapore’s garden-city vision.
