Agra (TAN): You need to pay an additional fee if you want to spend more than three hours at the world-famous Taj Mahal in India, media reports said.
The Archaeological Survey of India, which maintains the monument, implemented the rule from last Sunday. The move is aimed at checking the huge number of tourists visiting the Taj, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Turnstile gates have been installed at the East and West entry points to implement the rule. If one has overstayed the three-hour limit, visitors need to pay the extra amount at the exit gate.
Thousands of domestic and international tourists visit the Taj Mahal, one of the most recognisable monuments of the world, every day. However, the extremely hot weather over the past week had had a negative impact on tourist footfall.
