Miami (TAN): United States-based cruise company Royal Caribbean International has welcomed ‘Spectrum of the Seas’, taking the total number of ships in its fleet to 26.
First in a new class of ship called Quantum Ultra, Spectrum will sail from Shanghai in June 2019.

“We have once again combined revolutionary ship design with the latest technology to deliver a ship that will redefine the China cruise market. We are excited for our guests to make amazing family memories,” he added.
Spectrum, with an accommodation capacity of 4,246 guests at double occupancy, will feature the cruise line’s first private area for suite guests. Guests at the golden and silver suites will have access to a dedicated restaurant and lounge, a private elevator, a private outdoor space called The Balcony, and a private shopping area called The Boutique.
The ultimate family suite, sprawling across 2,809 square feet and spread over two levels, will have three bedrooms, a living area, and a recreation room.

The cruise will offer gastronomic delights from China’s Sichuan province at Sichuan Red, Chinese at Wonderland’s Dadong, and tea and desserts at the Leaf and Bean.
Other attractions on Spectrum include a virtual reality, bungee trampoline experience Sky Pad, a glass capsule called the North Star that takes guests over 300 feet above the ocean for panoramic views, a simulator experience called RipCord by iFly, and the FlowRider surfing simulator.
Spectrum will also have the ‘largest indoor sports and entertainment complex at sea’ known as SeaPlex and Star Moment, a karaoke venue will make its debut on the ship.
Two70, a transformative space, featuring Vistarama technology, will convert the panoramic windows into a projection surface over 100 feet wide and 20 feet tall to exhibit digital shows.
