(TAN): The Sun Temple at Konark in eastern India’s Odisha state reopened for visitors on September 1, media reports said.
The 13th century monument, popular with tourists, had remained closed for five months because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to reports, thermal screening of visitors would be conducted at the entrance of the temple and wearing masks and following social distancing norms are compulsory.
Around 4,500 tourists will be allowed on the Sun Temple premises daily, Konark TV said, adding that visitors can buy tickets by scanning a QR code installed outside the temple and paying online.
