Mumbai (TAN): The iconic Taj brand from the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is set to welcome guests at its newly-opened resort in the hills of the Indian state of Uttarakhand – Taj Rishikesh Resort & Spa.
The resort, IHCL’s third property in the state, is located 30 kilometres from Rishikesh.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at IHCL Punnet Chatwal said the new resort was “an exciting new addition to IHCL’s expanding resort portfolio”.

Taj Rishikesh, nestled on the slopes of the Himalayas, sprawls over 12.5 acres of terraced gardens along the banks of the river Ganges. All of the 79 rooms within the property offer views of both the river and the Himalayas, the company said.
The resort incorporates contemporary as well as rustic elements in its architecture, while remaining true to the style of the Garhwal region.
Devraj Singh, General Manager at Taj Rishikesh Resort & Spa, said the property was “ideally located to enjoy nature while also staying connected to the pulse of Rishikesh”.

When it comes to gastronomic options, guests can choose from an open-air pizza bar, an all-day diner, and a restaurant specialising in Himalayan cuisine.

Taj Rishikesh also offers wellness solutions at its signature Jiva Spa, which spreads over 20,000 square feet and comprises a yoga pavilion.
While guests looking for spiritualism can request the resort for a private ‘Ganga Aarti’ on its Pebble Beach, ones interested in adventure sports can choose from kayaking, hiking and white-river rafting, among others.
