(TAN): Thailand plans to turn its prisons into tourist attractions, media reports said.
According to Thailand’s justice minister, the corrections department is working to turn 72 prisons across the country into tourist attractions.

Visitors would be able to buy items made by inmates. This would also help the inmates generate income.
Events such cooking contests are also being considered. A pilot project with five prisons has already started.
Thailand has a total of 143 prisons, according to reports.
