While visitors can choose from a range of stays such as resorts, hotels, and bed and breakfasts that are welcoming to LGBTQs in Puerto Vallarta, several resorts in Riviera Nayarit reportedly offer honeymoon packages for same-sex couples.

LGBTQ travellers looking to party can sign up for Wet & Wild Gay Cruise in Puerto Vallarta. There are other LGBTQ-friendly boat rides and whale-watching tours to consider. Playa de Los Muertos, one of Puerto Vallarta’s most popular beaches, is home to gay-beach resort and beach club Blue Chairs Resort, a top choice for LGBTQ tourists.
Las Marietas Islands National Park, a UNESCO bioreserve, is an ideal destination for a day trip from in Riviera Nayarit. While in Nayarit, visitors can also explore San Pancho’s beach that sits between the Sierra Madre Mountains, tropical jungle and the Pacific Ocean. Also, Lo de Marcos beach offers a seamless opportunity for fishing and indulging in other water sports.
When it comes to nightlife, bars, clubs, strip clubs, shops and saunas line Lázaro Cárdenas in Puerto Vallarta’s Zona Romantica, also reportedly called ‘gayborhood’. Tourists can enjoy all-male revues, dance clubs, martini lounges and drag shows, among other events during the Gay Vallarta Bar Hopping Tour in La Zona Romantica.
