Come September, fly direct from Tel Aviv to Goa & Kochi in South India

Kochi (TAN): Israel-based Arkia airlines will launch direct flights to Kochi and Goa from Tel Aviv this September.

Kerala Tourism hopes that this new flight will bring in more tourists to the South Indian state, known for its backwaters.

While the flight to Goa will operate once a week, theres will be two flights a week between Kochi and Tel Aviv.

The 1949 established Arkia Airlines operates eight aircrafts including one Boeing 757-300 and two Airbus A-321 Neo LR.

At present, only El-Al and Air India operate direct flights between India and Israel.

India will be the airline’s second destination in Asia after Thailand capital Bangkok.
