India: SpiceJet to launch 12 new direct flights on its domestic network

New Delhi (TAN): India-based budget airline SpiceJet will operate 12 new direct flights to its domestic destinations from March 31, 2019.

Direct flights will connect Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh state to Mumbai in Maharashtra, Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur to Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal to Delhi, Mumbai and Surat in Gujarat every day.

“We see immense potential in these sectors and are delighted to introduce these 12 new flights on our domestic network. We are sure that the new flights will offer immense flexibility to both business and leisure travellers,” said SpiceJet’s Chief Sales and Revenue Officer Shilpa Bhatia.

SpiceJet will operate an additional direct flight between Delhi and Bhopal every evening except Sundays.

“Besides an evening flight on the Bhopal-Delhi route, in addition to the morning flight will help business travelers conveniently plan same day trips,” she added.

The airline will use its fleet of Boeing 737 and Bombardier Q-400 aircraft on the routes.

The new direct flights are expected to ease travel for passengers from non-metros and smaller cities including Gorakhpur, Dharamshala and Bhopal.

SpiceJet, as part of its celebrations for the launch of new routes, is offering special fares to its customers.

Fares start at INR 2,499 for Bhopal-Mumbai route, INR 3,299 for Bhopal-Delhi route, INR 3,457 for Bhopal-Surat route, INR 4,399 for Gorakhpur-Mumbai route, INR 4,099 for Jaipur-Dharamshala route, and INR 3,699 for Dharmshala-Jaipur route.

As per the schedule, flight SG-479 will take off from Mumbai daily at 0845 hours, and land in Bhopal at 1025 hours. The return flight SG-480 from Bhopal will leave daily at 1110 hours, reaching Mumbai at 1245 hours.

Flight SG-8623 will depart Delhi daily at 0605 hours, arriving Bhopal at 0745 hours, while flight SG-8264 will start at 0815 hours from Bhopal, landing in Delhi at 0935 hours.

The evening flight SG-8637 from Delhi will leave at 1840 hours, and arrive Bhopal at 2015 hours daily except Sundays. Upon return, flight SG-8638 will take off from Bhopal at 2050 hours, reaching Delhi at 2210 hours.

Flight SG-3721 from Surat will start daily at 1410 hours, landing at Bhopal at 1330 hours, while flight SG-3722 from Bhopal will leave at 1855 hours and arrive Surat at 2220 hours.

Flight SG-438 from Mumbai will depart 1215 hours daily, reaching Gorakhpur at 1430 hours. Flight SG-415 will take off from Gorakhpur at 1510 hours, and land in Mumbai at 1725 hours.

While flight SG-2985 from Jaipur will leave daily at 0605 hours to land in Dharamshala at 0735 hours, flight SG-2986 will start at 1140 hours from Dharamshala to reach Jaipur at 1305 hours.
