The property, owned by country music singer JT Hodges, his wife Kasey Hodges, and Todd Baldree, is adjacent to Music Row and a short walk from the well-known music business school Belmont University.
Music lovers can expect unique experiences during their stay at Buffalo Soul. Apart from access to a recording studio, writing rooms, and a vintage piano, guests can collaborate with top Nashville singers, songwriters and musicians as part of house concerts, so that they can create, connect and experience the vibes of the ‘Music City’.

Weekend guests who rent the entire house are provided with an in-home musical experience at an additional cost, Buffalo Soul’s website said. These acoustic performances are coordinated upon availability after a reservation is booked.
Originally built in 1927, the 3,500 square foot house features a limestone façade and Tudor architecture. While the stay comprises three bedrooms and four baths, it also offers several creative spaces for guests and artists alike.
The property’s name was inspired by the first multi-track recording studio in Fort Worth, Texas – Buffalo Sound Studios.
Founded by JT Hodges’ parents, Jim, a Julliard-trained concert pianist and Marsha, a recording artist, Buffalo Sound Studios kicked off the careers of several eminent artists. The studio, where JT Hodges spent most of his free time throughout his childhood, instilled in him a passion for music.

“Beyond being a bed and breakfast, Buffalo Soul as a brand, has a much larger goal: to add value back into the art of music, which has been forever changed by technology,” JT Hodges was quoted by Forbes as saying.
“Buffalo Soul has the sole purpose of connecting the singer-songwriter with the guest in person – to hear their stories and know them as people. And, to walk away from their Nashville experience by having a deeper connection to what makes Nashville ‘Music City’,” he added.
Buffalo Soul offers complimentary continental breakfast, beverages and grab-and-go snacks. Each guest room comes with a complimentary parking spot for one car.
Buffalo Soul B&B is a member of Airbnb Plus programme, and can sleep 12 people. While prices start from USD 999 per night on the property’s website, the entire house can be booked for USD 499 per night on Airbnb. Additional parking is available upon request.
A second location of Buffalo Soul is being developed in Leiper’s Fork, south of Nashville.
