(TAN): Luxury cruise line Crystal is set to unveil its newly redesigned ships, Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, this summer. The ships have undergone major renovations in collaboration with renowned international partners, with the goal to provide a refreshed and elevated guest experience, the cruise company said.
“As we welcome guests back to Crystal, we are delighted to unveil a look and feel that blends the best of its renowned past with a new vision fit for a bright future ahead,” said Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, the company that acquired the Crystal brand and its two ships. “Fresh colours, unique textures, and first-class tangible elements create an ambiance that evokes timeless moments of leisure.”
Tillberg Design of Sweden (TDoS) was the lead designer for the project. “We are working closely with Crystal management to ensure that their iconic fleet stays top-rated by the guests and profitable for the owners,” Fredrik Johansson, partner & executive director of TDoS, said.
For the redesign of select guest rooms and suites, Crystal enlisted leading cruise ship architectural firm, GEM. “Our main goal was to merge smaller-sized guestrooms into larger suites that offer a separate living room and bedroom areas, large bathrooms with a walk-in shower and double faucets and sinks,” said Lorenzo Mortola, Managing Director of GEM. “With more space, guests will have all the functions expected on a high-end cruise while offering the best comforts of home.”
Crystal has also partnered with Jesurum 1870, an Italian-based brand known for its exclusive linens.
