Fort Worth (TAN): American Airlines will introduce new wines to its premium lounges – the Admirals Club lounges, flagship lounges, and Flagship First Dining at flagship lounges, this month.
The new wine selections are expected to offer more choices to customers, with more variety catering to different tastes.

Master sommeliers from the airline will design the new lists, one of whom, Bobby Stuckey, said: “We’re diligent in offering a broad selection of wines so that every wine drinker can find something they like when traveling. We look at it more like putting together a restaurant wine-by-the-glass menu. Customers can go for a great glass of Champagne or a full-bodied red and everything in between.”
Stuckey is one of American Airlines’ two master sommeliers, the other one being Desmond Echavarrie, and one of the 255 master sommeliers in the world.
Stuckey and Echavarrie sample over 900 wines for over a year before drawing up a new list. The sommeliers use historical figures to consider options that have been most popular, and then come up with the final selection for the premium lounges.
The new list for the Admirals Club will comprise two new complimentary wines under the labels Veloce Rosso and Veloce Bianco that Stuckey and his team created for the carrier after working with grape producers from Southern Italy.
