Chicago (TAN): Amtrak, in partnership with Michigan Department of Transportation, will offer additional service between Chicago in Illinois and Holland in Michigan state for Holland’s 90th annual Tulip Time Festival.
Amtrak will operate the special Saturday trains on May 4 and 11 this year on the daily Pere Marquette route to enable same-day trips.

Over 1,000 passengers used Amtrak’s service on this route last May to visit the country’s “Best Flower Festival” and “America’s Best Small-Town Festival”, Amtrak said.
Train 374, carrying representatives from the Holland Area Visitors Bureau to help with local information, will leave Chicago at 0705 hours, and Hammond-Whiting in Indiana at 0729 hours, Central time.
The train will depart St. Joseph and Bangor in Michigan state at 1001 hours and 1037 hours, respectively, arriving in Holland at 1128 hours, all Eastern time.
Train 375 will depart Holland at 1750 hours, Bangor at 1833 hours, St. Joseph at 1911 hours, Hammond-Whiting at 1951 hours, and reach Chicago at 2024 hours.

Parking will be free at the Amtrak Hammond-Whiting station.
On those two Saturdays, adult fares on the Amtrak Midwest trains will range between USD 26 and USD 53 each way to and from Holland. Children in the age group of two to twelve accompanied by an adult will be charged half fare.
The Pere Marquette route will also offer daily service from Chicago to Holland through the entire festival tenure, with all Pere Marquette trains stopping at Hammond-Whiting on May 4 and 5 and May 11 and 12.
