Washington, D.C. (TAN): Amtrak is offering a free second ticket upon purchase of one ticket for travel on Saturdays throughout summer.
The buy one get one fare sale is valid for Amtrak’s Acela and Northeast Regional (NER) trains along the Northeast Corridor between Virginia Beach and Boston until August 30, 2019. Passengers can travel with deal tickets June 29 onwards.

Prices for two passengers in a single direction start from USD37. Some of the prices include USD83 for NER and USD125 for Acela for a trip between Boston and New York, and USD38 for NER between Richmond and Washington, D.C.
Passengers can use discount code C222 to activate the offer.
The companion must travel on the same schedule with the passenger paying full fare, and have tickets issued together. They must buy tickets three days in advance.
Sale prices are one-way coach class fares. Upgrades to business class on NER or first class on Acela are not allowed.

The offer is applicable to all Acela and NER trains running from Virginia state’s Roanoke or Norfolk to Boston, Massachusetts. The deal is not available on unreserved service on the Pennsylvanian and Keystone Service locally between Philadelphia and Harrisburg and Thruway Service.
A 25 per cent cancellation fee may apply.
