Chennai (TAN): The popular Berijam Lake near Kodaikanal town in South India’s Tamil Nadu state will remain off limits for tourists on April 29 and 30 because of a cyclone warning.
The ecologically rich 78 sqkm lake is home to diverse flora and fauna.
This is among the several destinations have have been closed during this time because of bad weather.

A report in The Hindu newspaper citing tourism department officials said Guna caves, Moir Point and 12 Mile Road would also remain closed during this time.
The Kumbakarai falls in Theni district has remained closed for more than a week because the water level has increased after heavy rain in the Western Ghats and it could be dangerous for the visitors.
