Miami (TAN): United States-based Carnival Cruise Line’s new cruise ship ‘Mardi Gras’ will debut next year with new premium suites and a new open-air secluded retreat called ‘Loft 19’.
Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy said: “As we continue to announce details on Mardi Gras, guests will see that this ship is going to have more choices to stay and more choices to play.”
“All of our accommodations have been designed to exceed our guests’ expectations, and the suite offerings will kick that up a notch or two for those who want an extra special Choose Fun vacation,” she added.
The new much-awaited ship Mardi Gras, which arrives in 2020, will feature over 180 suites across 11 styles, comprising 32 new premium Carnival Excel suites in four categories – two Carnival Excel Presidential Suites, 12 Carnival Excel Aft Suites, 12 Carnival Excel Corner Suites, and six Carnival Excel Suites.
Located on deck 17, Presidential suites, the largest in the fleet, will feature the fleet’s roomiest balconies with views of the ocean, spacious sunbed and lounging areas, and a private outdoor shower, apart from sleeping, living and dining areas. They also come with access to the ship’s Havana pool area and the spa’s thermal suite.
Other suites on board Mardi Gras include Ocean Suites, Tropics-inspired Havana Suites, Extra-roomy Family Harbor Suites, and Cloud 9 Spa Suites.
While all suites will be provided an amenities package, the Carnival Excel suites will be offered additional benefits that include unlimited access to Loft 19 and select guaranteed dining times, among several others.

Mardi Gras is presently under construction at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland’s Turku.
