(TAN): Croatia’s tourism ministry and the Croatian National Tourist Board are launching a promotional campaign “Experience local. Explore rural Croatia!” The campaign will consist of 12 thematic videos that will include a unique tourist offer of rural Croatian areas.
“We are focusing on all the wealth that rural Croatia can provide to domestic and foreign tourists. As part of this first national rural tourism campaign, through trips to rural Croatia we discover the treasures of our natural and cultural heritage, as well as the friendliness and hospitality of the hosts, which is a differentiating quality of this type of tourism. Nowadays, when safety is one of the prerequisites for visiting a destination, and tourists are increasingly looking to stay in nature and enjoy fresh air, rural tourism is a product that meets all these needs: from the possibility of staying in a natural setting, relaxation and active vacation, to enjoying amazing local food, wine and other domestic products. Rural tourism brings a new quality to Croatian tourism overall through the enrichment of the offer and opportunities to extend the tourist season. I believe that today we will encourage many to explore rural Croatia and experience the local offer,” said Nikolina Brnjac, the tourism minister.

“Rural tourism in pandemic circumstances has emerged as an extremely sought-after tourist product, and according to research in the coming years will be increasingly sought after by both foreign and domestic guests who are increasingly turning to explore the lesser-known tourist gems of Croatia. It is a product that offers the possibility of solitude, a holiday in pure nature, home-grown food, a unique experience, indigenous experiences and high-quality service. I believe that with our new promotional campaign we will additionally inspire domestic guests and encourage them to explore lesser-known, but extremely interesting rural destinations of our Homeland,” said the director of the Croatian National Tourist Board, Kristjan Staničić.
The prepared video materials are aimed at promoting certain content by tourist regions, and a general video will be created which will contain the best shots of the recorded material of all the mentioned destinations. The activities within the campaign are focused on the domestic market with the aim of encouraging tourist traffic by getting to know the authentic local experiences in Croatian rural destinations.
The campaign will be conducted via online and offline communication channels.
