(TAN): Delta Airlines is set to elevate the travel experience for its passengers at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport with the opening of its second Delta Sky Club lounge at Terminal 4 near Gate A7. This lounge spans nearly 14,000 square feet and can accommodate over 250 guests, offering a covered Sky Deck and sweeping views of the airfield, creating a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling airport environment, the airline said.

The new Club, operating alongside the existing Club on Terminal 4, Concourse B, will significantly boost Delta’s capacity to accommodate more than 800 guests simultaneously at JFK. The lounge’s design is inspired by the vibrant city it resides in – New York City. Embracing the city’s duality of grit and glamour, the JFK T4-A lounge features unique discoverable elements that are sure to captivate frequent guests and create lasting memories.

Claude Roussel, managing director of Delta Sky Club, said, “This new Club is beautifully designed and packed with special details that reflect the magic of New York City. But much more important than that, it’s a place where our people can deliver Delta Sky Club’s signature hospitality, making each guest feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they step inside.”

Among the lounge’s notable features is a cozy fireplace lounge, offering a perfect ambience for both work and relaxation. Meanwhile, a tucked-away nook with plush green seating creates an air of elegance and privacy reminiscent of a classic speakeasy. The centerpiece of the Club is an inviting, signature 360-degree premium bar, celebrating the spirit of a city that never sleeps.

In line with its commitment to promoting local talent, Delta Sky Club is showcasing the culinary creations of rising-star local chef, Elyssa Heller. Founder and CEO of Edith’s Eatery & Grocery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Elyssa’s delectable offerings include her unique take on Jewish deli classics such as the brisket hash sandwich, vegetarian latkes, and labneh parfait. Guests can savour the flavours of Edith’s famous vegan Iced Café Slushie—a delightful concoction of cold brew, tahini, oat milk, and simple syrup. Elyssa’s mouthwatering recipes will grace the Club’s menu until the end of September.

As Delta continues to enhance its services for passengers at JFK, the new Club is part of the airline’s ongoing investment in the airport. Since 2010, Delta has invested over USD 7 billion in infrastructure, including a USD 1.5 billion expansion project at JFK, which commenced in late 2021. The recently consolidated operations in Terminal 4, along with the modernized, spacious Concourse A and technology enhancements, demonstrate Delta’s commitment to ensuring seamless and efficient travel experiences for its customers.
