(TAN): The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation and TravelBag, a renowned global air and travel service provider, have unveiled their collaborative marketing campaign aimed at showcasing the Maldives as the ultimate holiday destination for B2C audiences in the United Kingdom.

Taking place between May 2023 to April 2024, the joint marketing campaign will capitalize on online, social media, and print channels to engage with a massive audience of over 2.5 million individuals, a statement by the two organizations said. The Maldives has long been a favourite choice for UK tourists, and this campaign aims to further entice travellers to choose the Maldives as their preferred destination while solidifying its status as a key holiday spot in the UK market.

With more than 40 years of experience in crafting tailor-made holidays for all budgets, TravelBag’s reputation precedes them. The company’s retail shops, staffed by travel specialists with global expertise, cater to a discerning audience, 95% of whom prefer offline bookings through retail stores and call centers.

In 2022, TravelBag emerged as one of the top sellers for the Maldives, and this campaign aims to build upon that success by driving incremental growth in bookings and revenue for the island nation. Focused on advertising and promoting individual products and unique experiences, the campaign will align with the preferences of the UK market. As the third-highest arrival market for the Maldives, the UK has consistently exhibited growth even during challenging times. The remarkable 185.6% increase in UK arrivals in 2022, reaching a total of 179,309, underscores the significant role played by the UK market in the thriving Maldivian tourism industry, the joint statement by the firms said.
