Gold Coast (TAN): A foreign tourist has died after falling through a skylight at a church in Surfers Paradise here.
Preliminary investigation indicates the man had been climbing the roof of St Vincent’s Catholic Church when he fell through a skylight from 10 metres height. Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
The 23-year-old man had been trying to climb’s the church roof around 2am when the accident happened.

The police are preparing a report for the coroner.
The police were “conducting a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of this incident”, ABC quoted acting inspector Brendan Wiblen as saying.

Warren Kinne, a visiting priest who works for the parish, said: “Whatever they were doing on the roof I don’t know but falling through to his death is very sad for the family.”
“We’ll pray for them,” Kinne said, according to the report.
