Children aged between four and twelve years can participate in Little Big Hotelier programme, available across each of the brand’s resort properties across South East Asia, to see the real functions of a resort property and learn new skills under the guidance of the Holiday Inn Hotelier crew.

Head of Resorts of Thailand and Indonesia at IHG, Shantha de Silva, said: “The Holiday Inn Little Big Hotelier programme helps empower children to embrace the world as their classroom. From restaurants to housekeeping, recreation to engineering, a resort is the perfect environment for children to gain invaluable skills, be it effective communication, interaction with others, basic culinary and recreation skills.”

“Children of various nationalities and ages, can come together to spend their day with our crew and have a whale of a time learning not only the operational aspects of running a hotel but also learning from each other and the multiple resort personalities that they can encounter during their stay,” he added.

Kids can choose from a range of roles and departments that include the reception, porters, Kids Club, and chefs. While kids signing up for a day at the reception can register their fellow hotelier at the hotel reception, the Little Big Hotelier chefs will spend time with the brand’s chefs to understand all that go into preparing food in the kitchen. Kids working at the Kids Club will plan and coordinate the activities their fellow hoteliers will participate in, and ones in the porters department can check in their fellow hoteliers, and guide them to the briefing area.
