Indians, US nationals now don’t need a visa to visit Oman; citizens of 103 countries exempt

(TAN): Indians and US citizens will not need a visa to visit Oman for up to 10 days now. Oman has exempted the citizens of 103 countries from requiring an entry visa for visits up to 10 days.

“The Sultanate has announced the exemption of 103 nationals from entry visa to the country for a stay of ten days,” Oman’s ministry of heritage and tourism said on its official promotion account @ExperienceOman.

Indians will be able to benefit from this scheme as can the citizens of the US, Italy, UK, China and other countries on the list.

Tourists need a prior and confirmed hotel reservation, health insurance and a return travel ticket to benefit from this visa exemption programme.

Visitors are also now exempted from self-isolation and coronavirus testing before entering Oman, the Times of Oman reported.

ā€œThe ministry would like to inform you that, based on the instructions received from the Ministry of Health, it has become possible to exempt tourists from quarantine and polymerase testing (PCR) before coming to the Sultanate, provided they adhere to the procedures that include a compulsory international health insurance that covers the costs of treatment of COVID-19 disease during their residency in the Sultanate,ā€ a statement attributed to Oman’s tourism ministry said.
