Experts, researchers and industry representatives will explore the different themes to offer their perspectives on them through deliberations, debates and lectures. New ideas, approaches and products will also be presented at the forum.
Sustainability, climate change and environmental protection, one of the key themes the convention will explore, are a cause for major concern for the industry today. Several travel businesses are increasingly shifting to intelligent and sustainable systems for managing tourism flows, or making it a part of their strategies and products. The convention will see a climate scientist and climate activists present their take on the issue.
With more travellers looking for exhaustive information associated with travel, digitalisation has emerged as an important component for the tourism industry of late. Experts from the field will discuss the role of artificial intelligence, algorithms and social media influencers in shaping and affecting digitalisation in the sector at the ITB Berlin Convention 2020.
Shifting customer demands, expectations and choices can often result in major reorganisation within the industry. They can also manipulate booking behaviour in the luxury tourism market. A new exclusive survey will share new data on visitors’ attitudes towards sustainability in the global luxury travel market at the ITB New Luxury Travel Forum.
