(TAN): Mandarin Oriental recently revealed its partnership with Swire Properties to manage a new Mandarin Oriental hotel and branded residences in Brickell Key, an upscale Miami neighbourhood. The new Mandarin Oriental, Miami, and The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, are set to open in 2030.
The project will be part of the One Island Drive development, with two towers interconnected by an amenity podium. Situated on a 3.5-acre waterfront site along the southwest portion of Brickell Key, a 44-acre island developed by Swire, the project boasts a prime location in Miami, offering an exclusive and secure environment with easy access to the city’s vibrant energy for both residents and guests.
The new-build hotel will boast an impressive 151 guestrooms, including 60 suites, along with 61 private residences and 28 hotel residences, all offering breathtaking views of the ocean and the city skyline. The exterior architecture will be designed by Kohn Pederson Fox, while the interiors of the hotel will be crafted by Parisian designer Laura Gonzales. The lush landscape architecture throughout the property will be envisioned by Thai firm Shma.
The dining experience will feature a variety of dynamic restaurants and bars catering to the discerning palates of guests and residents. Additionally, the hotel will offer flexible meeting and event spaces to accommodate various gatherings. The centerpiece of relaxation and wellness will be the expansive Spa at Mandarin Oriental, providing a compelling lifestyle choice for visitors and local residents alike.
A separate tower adjacent to the hotel will house 220 Residences at Mandarin Oriental, featuring 2-4 bedroom residences and two exclusive penthouses. These residences, designed by Parisian designer Tristan Auer, will be managed by Mandarin Oriental, offering the perfect blend of private home comforts with the legendary amenities and service for which the brand is renowned.
