(TAN): Geneva’s Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues is hosting a pop-up event called Lake House by Melrose Kitchen on Ile Rousseau. From May to September, it is inviting guests to savour refreshing drinks and indulge in superfoods, the hotel group said in a statement.

Founded in 2021, Melrose Kitchen is a trendy café that brings the vibrant Californian-style setting to the heart of Geneva, offering a selection of healthy drinks and light bites. Inspired by their trip to Los Angeles, co-founders Clement and Raphy decided to create an outlet that would infuse LA’s superfood culture and laidback beach vibes into the city’s culinary scene.

The menu at the Lake House features Avo Love Toast, a dish highly favoured among health-conscious individuals in LA. The toast comprises a slice of fitness or gluten-free bread topped with slightly spiced mashed avocado, feta cheese, baked tomatoes, kalamata olives, homemade vegan pesto, a dash of balsamic glaze, and a sprinkle of sea salt.

For those seeking a light and flavourful bite on a warm summer day, the quinoa-kale-chicken salad is a superfood delight. Made with quinoa, roasted kale, avocado, slow-cooked chicken, pomegranate, and grilled almonds, it offers a burst of flavours and nutrition. Fruit enthusiasts will relish the unsweetened Açai Bowl, a wholesome delight consisting of pure acai berries topped with fresh fruits, homemade gluten-free granola, and almond butter.

The Matcha Corner features baristas skillfully whisking antioxidant-rich drinks right before the guests’ eyes. The ceremonial-grade matcha powder is expertly prepared in little bowls, creating a convivial and laidback atmosphere. The signature Matcha Latte, prepared with plant-based milk, serves as a perfect energy booster to kickstart the day. Saturdays offer a Californian twist on classic brunch dishes, with a delightful array of wholesome options that exude vitality.

As the afternoon transitions into evening, baristas shake up classic cocktails, carefully crafted with light, locally-sourced ingredients. The Aperol Spritz remains a firm favorite among patrons. Other beloved aperitifs on the menu include Hugo, made with prosecco, elderflower syrup, seltzer, and mint leaves, as well as Mimosa, a zesty concoction of champagne and chilled orange juice. The beverage selection also features white, red, and rosé wines, prosecco, local cider, and beer, while hot drinks, iced coffee lattes, and healthy soft drinks, including homemade iced tea and coconut water, are available throughout the day.
