(TAN): The United States’ Oklahoma state has unveiled a new state brand along with a tagline “Imagine that”, reports said.
The branding is reportedly aimed at positioning the state as a lucrative destination for tourists, commerce, citizens and talent.

“With this new brand, we will work to breathe new life into tourism, job recruitment, investors and much more,” Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt was quoted by 8abc Tulsa as saying.
According to reports, the tagline communicates the idea behind the Oklahoma brand – “Imagine that” embodies a state that delivered beyond expectations, by offering innumerable opportunities to people to realise their potential.
The state in the South Central region of the country also launched a logo that integrates the elements including the earth, sky, water, agriculture and forest to form a circle and represent the state’s military, as per reports. A white star in the centre surrounded by chevrons reportedly symbolises the nation.

Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma, Matt Pinnell, reportedly said the logo shows the state’s diversity.
“I believe we should be embracing that. When we are talking about retaining or recruiting talent to a state, I think people wanting to move anywhere want an inviting, diverse community,” he was quoted by Tulsa World as saying.
Pinnell reportedly said the American dream still lives in Oklahoma, where innovation and new ideas can be realised.

“We are really making a play with this new messaging and new branding that we are the hub of America. Not just the crossroads of America, but the hub of America. If you want to see America, you have to see Oklahoma, so there is a clear tourism play, but there is also, I firmly believe, a commerce play here that Oklahoma can be the hub of America,” Pinnell added.
Canada-based brand consultancy firm ‘We Are Operative’ managed the project which sought to “create a new brand, by Oklahomans, for Oklahoma”.
“Today marks the beginning of a transformation. The transformation of Oklahoma’s statewide, national and international image,” 8abc Tulsa quoted Pinnell as saying.
